“ We took a drive to Rural King in Martinsville today. On our way we noticed Clarence's was packed. As we were checking out at rural king the nice lady asked if we were heading south and we should stop at Clarence's. So on her advice we did and ordered the all you can eat catfish and flounder. It was so delicious. The staff is so kind and the service is outstanding. I would love to take a group of friends back on a Friday night for the fantastic fish. ”
“ World's Best Hushpuppies! Great casual food at reasonable prices. My go to always in Henry County Virginia. Family owned and operated and quick friendly service. ”
“ Great place for breakfast or lunch, as that's when we've been there. I can't speak to their dinner menu. They are closed on Monday. Prices are reasonable and if you go at peak times, they are busy. The menu is pared down some on race weekends. ”
“ Stopped into Clarence's while in town visiting my wife's family... Not too shabby of a country kitchen. While this place is definitely not a steak and seafood house (as advertised), it's a nice lil' country restaurant offering good home cooked meals at a fair/reasonable price ($8.95 for a lunch plate... Meat choice plus three sides and corn bread, biscuit, or rolls). Apparently Clarence's has been in business for some 50+ years and it's not hard to see why... The food is good, the service is friendly, and it's a place to get a good country ole meal. Plus, I thought it was pretty cool that the owner (Clarence, who is 86 years old) still sits at the front of the restaurant and greets/thanks everyone that comes into the restaurant. If you're in the Martinsville area, recommend checking out this lil' joint. ”
“ One of the best breakfast restaurants around! If you ever get a chance make sure to ask for Ginger as your server! She is that amazing service you used to get from a hard working and sweet server! ”
